CBA - Changes to Investment Home Loans (Yes, Again!)

March 13, 2017

After announcing suspension of acceptance of new refinance applications for Investment Home Loans until further notice from Monday 13th February 2017, major lender Commonwealth Bank has reduced the new maximum loan-to-value (LVRs) ratio amounts including capitalization of any lenders mortgage insurance (LMI) premiums to 90% effective 13th March 2017.

The LVR reduction for applications also applies to applications where there is a Home Loan and Investment Home Loan secured against the same property.

Will all lenders follow the same path? Probably, not!

If you need more than 90% funding because you are short on deposit or for investment benefits, we have over 35 lenders on our panel and there are lot of lenders in market who can still allow up to 95% loan on investment purchases including capitalization of any LMI (subject to credit criteria and assessment).
